Lakes of Ladakh

Pangong Tso
Here we are! This lake was incrediable. The lake was a deep irridescent blue and green backed by barren-tan coloured mountains. Such beauty! The mountains around the lake changed colours from tan, fawn, dusky pink, orche, dark brown...all showing the different ages and influences of the climate.
It was an amusing trip in that our jeep got stuck in the only sandy spot at the lake. Then down by the lake a Bollywood movie was being filmed, complete with the Bollywood soundtrack being hear all around. We were hoping that the herd of goats, that were nearby, would walk onto the scene. But no such luck!

Donkey's are a common feature of the Ladakhi landscape. These two were in the Nubra Valley.
